Visitor Visa – An Overview
As defined by its word “Visitor or Tourist”, the sole purpose of this visa is exclusively to visit family / friends in foreign country OR to make a pleasure trip OR to visit for a business meet. It is temporary visa, meaning you must stay for a shorter period of time as per the duration mentioned on the visa and must return to your home country. You must not live for extended periods through frequent or successive visits, or make the foreign country your home.

CANADA – Visitor Visa.
Visitor or tourist visa for Canada is for the sole purpose of traveling & leisure around this magnificent country and not for any other purpose. It’s a vast country with picturesque landscapes, which will be an experience of a lifetime.
Most visitors can stay for up to 6 months in Canada, embassy issues either single entry or multiple entry visa. All applications are automatically considered for multiple entry visa and single entry visa is only issued under specific circumstances.
At the port of entry, the border services officer may allow you to stay for less or more than 6 months too in special conditions. If so, they’ll put the date you need to leave by in your passport. These visa allows dependents to accompany you. The processing time is anywhere between 1 to 3 months.
USP: can be granted for multiple entries till expiry of passport.
AUSTRALIA- Visitor Visa.
Australia is a popular destination for tourism with its long coastline, natural wonders and modern living. The experience of visiting Australia is something to be cherished for a lifetime
Visitor visa (Subclass 600) has different streams for Tourist, Sponsored Family Members and Business Visitor Stream for India. Australia allows you to stay as a visitor for up to 12 months. The processing time for this category is variable from 1 to 5 months. This visa is for the sole purpose of traveling and exploring Australia and to visit family and friends; it does not allow you study for more than 3 months or does not allow you to work.
USP: No visa stamping in passport but issues paper visa, allow you to study for maximum 3 to 6 months.
NEW ZEALAND – Visitor Visa.
You will need a visitor visa to visit New Zealand for a holiday. This beautiful country with its untamed wilderness and rich culture is worth a visit.
The maximum stay a person can avail for New Zealand is nine months in an 18-month period on a visitor or a tourist visa.
The processing time for a visitor visa is 3 to 6 months, so it is best to plan a trip well in advance.
You cannot work or study on a visitor visa, but you can extend your stay in the country before your current visa expires.
USP: allows you to study for minimum 3 months
UK – Visitor Visa.
A standard visitor visa needs to be obtained if travelling to the UK (Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland & England) on a visit / tourism / business meeting / medical purpose. A UK visa is issued from 3 to 6 months with single, double or multiple entries. This visa is normally processed within 3 weeks if all your documents are in order. It is recommended that one should apply for this visa a month prior to departure.

USA – Visitor Visa.
Generally, a citizen of a foreign country who wishes to enter the United States must first obtain a visa, either a nonimmigrant visa for a temporary stay. Visitor visas are nonimmigrant visas for persons who want to enter the United States temporarily for business (visa category B-1), for tourism (visa category B-2), or for a combination of both purposes (B-1/B-2).

There is 2 day process of submission of application day 1 is to complete biometric and day 2 is to face interview at US consulate. There is no need to wait for the result as the result of visa is straight away declared at the time of interview. If visa is granted they ask for passport to stamp the visa, if it is not then, they suggest to reapply.
